Reunion Island Inward Buying Mission 25 Sept – 2 Oct 2019
The Club Economique de Trois Bassins returns to Durban further to their successful fact-finding mission in October 2018. Six of the eight SMMEs are looking at importing South African products into Reunion Island. Two SMMEs are looking at finding distributors for their products which are tamarind wood and artisanal food products.
The eThekwini Municipality has extended an invitation for 8 of its SMMEs to take part in the Durban Business Fair 2019. The Durban Business Fair will be the catalyst for exports from Durban to Reunion Island.
President of the Club Economique de Trois Bassins, Mr Jean Michel Fain is the Leader of the Inward buying Mission. The companies are looking to import craft beer, nail and beauty products, sauces, spices, tiles and wood resin.

The annual Business Breakfast to launch the Intellectual Property Programme, the creative initiative conceptualised by Robin Opperman of Umcebo Design, took place at Alliance Francaise, on Thursday, 1 March 2018.
Monique Labat, consultant to the Creative Industries sector was one of the panelists with Programme Director, Raymond Perrier, and Rosemary Mangope, CEO of the National Arts Council and Xavier Clarisse, master sculptor.
The panel was asked to focus on the ability of the Creative Sector to monetise creative skills and the important contribution this could make to the economy and society at large.
